February Fitness Challenges Anyone?
I signed up for a thing at work. It was funny. I saw it and thought "Hey! This could be fun!" A 30 day squat challenge hosted by a Women in Technology group I am a member of at work. Squats. I like squats. This should be a breeze. Right?
Lol.
I also did another thing, at lease in my brain. I saw that there was an actual challenge for the month of February (ABS!!) on the website where my work group got the squat challenge. What?! This website! It looks so familiar!
Darebee dot com is a free fitness website run by a small group of dedicated humans that want to make fitness accessible to all. They run on a donation based system and, to plug them a bit, they could use a few coin to continue their efforts. I was first introduced to this site back in April of 2020 (I had to look that up) when I was looking for more body weight only options during the shutdown. Look! This site has made its way back into my focus (after some time floating around in the abyss that is my mind). I am grateful and excited about this development!
In true fashion of me and my ways, I not only signed up for the squat challenge at work, but I will also do the ab challenge along side it. My thinking is that it will be an all around full body workout. Let's throw in some gentle cardio, because of my injured ankle, and we're straight. At least that is what I am telling myself to stay motivated. Yo, I will take what I can get these days when it comes to motivation!
A bonus will be if I can stick to my herbal infusions and simple meal prep routines. One day at a time, my dude. One day at a time. :)
